Day Twenty One - A Song You Listen To When You're Happy.

image

Days of the Old - Every Avenue

I don’t know why, this song just makes my happiness last even longer.

Besides, how funny is this photo? I’m pretty much in love with it, haa.

Here's to the kids who try their hardest to be good enough for everyone; who spend hours reading random love quotes to find the right one; who wait online for that one certain person to sign on just to say hello; who listen to the same song dozens of times because the lyrics mean a lot; who deserve so much more than they get and are willing to fight for it and whose wish upon a shooting star was wasted on someone that will never care.

Day Twenty - A Song That You Listen To When You're Angry

image

Six Years - Gallows

I listen to pretty much any song by Gallows when I’m angry. For some strange reason, listening to Frank Carter scream his lungs out always makes me feel a lot better. Especially this song in particular. I don’t really know why, but it does. That’s just the way my mind works, I think. :S

Day Nineteen - A Song From Your Favourite Album

La La Lie - Jack’s Mannequin

Everything In Transit is one of my all-time favourite albums (I’ll have to post the others on here some time). La La Lie is one of the ones that I can quite happily sing along to whilst i’m driving in my car. I love the music in this song.

Funnily enough, The Glass Passenger, their second album is also one of my favourite albums. (:

Day Eighteen - A Song That You Wish You Heard On The Radio

image

My Worst Nightmare - Forever the Sickest Kids

Like I said before, I don’t listen to the radio that much, but, believe me, if this song was played, then I most definitely would.

That’s how much I love this song.

Day Seventeen - A Song That You Hear Often On The Radio

image

Kickstarts - Example

To be honest with you, I don’t really listen to the radio all that often, but, on the rare occasions that I have, this song seemed to pop up most of the time. I don’t listen to my radio in my car because it takes forever to programme it, then doesn’t remember the station you put it on when you go back in the car the next day. I listen to my cds instead.

Currently, it’s On Your Side by A Rocket To the Moon. (I lovelovelove that cd)

Day Sixteen - A Song You Used To Love But Now Hate

You’ve Got the Love - Florence and the Machine

This song was great, you know, the first thousand times I heard it. It was literally EVERYWHERE. And then, all of a sudden, it got boring. Repetitive. Overrated. And now, I really dislike it. Just the song, not the band.

Gotta love a bit of Florence! ;)

Words cannot describe how excited I am to have gotten my hands on this.

I just need to finish Angels and Demons before I start reading it…

Day Fifteen - A Song That Describes You

image

Famous Last Words - My Chemical Romance

“I am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone.

Honey if you stay i’ll be forgiving, nothing you can say can stop me going home.”

That’s all I have to say on this.

Day Fourteen - A Song No-one Would Expect You To Love

Church - T-Pain

I can’t help it, this song is fucking good. It helps me concentrate when I’m doing my business coursework, which, you know, is very good. So yeah, there you go (:

Too True.

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn’t supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it’s harder every time. You’ll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You’ll fight with your best friend. You’ll blame a new love for things an old one did. You’ll cry because time is passing too fast, and you’ll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you’ve never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back.

Day Thirteen - A Song That Is A Guilty Pleasure

image

One More Try - A1

A1 were a rather large part of my life when I was younger, and, last year, I found their album in my mother’s cd cabinet. So I imported it onto my iTunes, and voila, I found some of the music I was in love with when I was younger.

It’s acoustic, and it’s not OVERLY cheesy. But it’s still a guilty pleasure, aha.

Day Twelve - A Song From A Band You Hate

image

You Make Me Wanna Die - The Pretty Reckless

I just can’t warm to this band. So I don’t like them. That’s pretty much it really.

Day Eleven - A Song From Your Favourite Band

Into the Airwaves - Jack’s Mannequin

Yeah, so, I love Jack’s Mannequin. Into the Airwaves just happens to be my favourite song by them. But really, I could have put any song in here, I am just so in love with this band. I love the lyrics, the music, their passion. I discovered them online after reading someone’s review of them. They said that Jack’s Mannequin were amazing, and I thought ‘yeah, alright’ but still checked them out. That day changed my life. I knew that Jack’s were about to become my favourite band, there and then.

And I wasn’t wrong.

“People, I thought, wanted security. They couldn’t bear the idea of death being a big black nothing, couldn’t bear the thought of their loved ones not existing, and couldn’t even imagine themselves not existing. I finally decided that people believed in an afterlife because they couldn’t bear not to.” —Looking For Alaska, p 100 (via shanshan) (via fuckyeahjohngreen)

Day Ten - A Song That Makes You Fall Asleep

image

Seize the Day - Avenged Sevenfold

Basically, a couple of years ago, I was having a real bad time sleeping. I just couldn’t fall asleep whatsoever, so I decided to turn to my iPod (this was just after I started getting into my chemical romance, fall out boy, a7x etc) to see if I could send myself off to sleep. So Seize the Day comes on, and it’s a pretty long track at five and a half minutes. And lo and behold, just as Synyster Gates’ began his solo, I fell asleep. And so I listened to that song, every night, for about a month. And voila, I had no more sleeping problems!

But now this song makes me sad. RIP The Rev.

Day Nine - A Song That You Can Dance To

image

Step By Step - New Kids On the Block

The only reason this song can make me dance is because it’s my top score on Just Dance (the Wii game) and I absolutely love it. I’ve just about memorised the actual dance moves from the game. (I know I’m lame, I can’t help it!)

Besides, I couldn’t resist not putting a piece of cheesy pop in this ;)

Day Eight - A Song That You Know All The Words To

image

White Horse - Taylor Swift

I’m a sucker for acoustic songs, especially ones that sound like this. Taylor Swift is such an amazing musician. She literally has a song for any mood that you happen to be in, and her lyrics are so real. I can relate to them a lot more than other bands, most likely because she’s a teenage girl who’s going through/gone through a lot of the crap every other teenage girl has to go through.

Even though I know the words to many other Taylor Swift songs, I chose White Horse for day eight because of one line in this song.

‘My mistake, I didn’t know to be in love you had to fight to have the upperhand.’

How beautiful is that?

So yeah, I love Taylor Swift (:

Day Seven - A Song That Reminds You Of A Certain Event

image

Baby - Justin Bieber

M’kay. So. This song reminds me of Brighton. On the Tuesday night, we had just gotten back from bowling and breakfast shopping at Asda, and were in our little dorm flat things, which is all good. And it’s not just our school there, there were others too. So, I had just had THE coldest shower in my life (no joke, I couldn’t breathe, it was that cold). Hailey and I had decided that we were just going to chat in my room, and Hailey had her iPod speakers with her, so we chose to listen to my Brighton playlist (because i’m that cool, I make playlists for certain events). And, as Baby is playing, Hailey decides to take a picture of the fit guy in the room opposite mine, whilst he wasn’t wearing a shirt. And, to be ‘super secretive’ etc, we chose to turn the lights off in my room. Hailey took the picture. THE FUCKING FLASH WAS ON THE CAMERA. And the guys in the room opposite stared at my room for ages.

So yeah, Baby reminds me of Hailey beginning her paparazzi career. (:
